Got to get my leapfrog story telling gadget fixed this weekend. Lent it to Darren gorgor, come back spoil liao :( Haven even really got a chance to play with it yet as Mummy bought it when i was still a little baby.
Oh ya, our next door auntie has given birth to a baby boy. Yesterday, we were invited into their house to see the baby. Baby so small, eyes still not really open yet and his gorgor keep on bullying him... poor baby...
Will I be a good jie jie next time? hehehe

At 14 mos, Charlene is testing her vocals. She will scream whenever she wants or dislike something and she is also testing my patience as well. But I learn from other parents that we got to be patient with them, tell them that we can hear them, don need to scream or tell them that our ear is painful when they scream. Talk nicely to them and they might listen. I tried that on Charlene and luckily it works. She stand there looking at me and 'talk' to me instead of screaming at the top of her voice.
But it seems like it doesnt work on my mum. Maybe my mum spoilt her. Like this morning when my mum tried to carry her, she scream at her and hit her. Of cos she got a lecture from me... my goodness. Hopefully they will grow out of the screaming phrase. And please Charlene, try not to scream in public. (tis have not happen before and hopefully will not happen) *cross my fingers*
Below is an article that I got from the web:
(Why toddlers scream:Believe it or not, your toddler's volume is turned way up not because she means to annoy you, but because she's full of that wonderful toddler joie de vivre. She's exploring the power of her voice, and experimenting with what she can do with it. Why must she always cut loose when you're at the supermarket or the bank? "There's a lovely echoing effect when you scream in big open spaces." "And if the behavior is reinforced, toddlers know they can get more attention from their parents if they scream in public."Some toddlers scream whenever they want their parents' attention. It's their way of saying, "Hey, look at me." Others scream when they want something they can't have — like a piece of candy. In that case, the shrieking means, "I want my way — give it to me now!"
What you can do about it:Screaming at your toddler to lower her voice won't help — it'll only send the message that whoever's loudest prevails. Your best bet is to avoid situations that'll tempt your toddler to raise her voice — and to divert her attention when she does scream.

Charlene can be so cute and funny, I wonder whether other babies are doing the same things...
Nowadays, she likes to bite small toys like rattles and soft toys and dangle it from her mouth without her hands holding and shaking her head from left to right, just like lion dance. She refused to let it go until shes tired of it. It can be soooo hilarious, at times, I feel like hugging her. I always tell her that although shes born in the year of the doggy but shes not a puppy..... hahaha...
Unfortunately, Im not able to snap any pictures of her hilarious moment cos whenever I hold the camera at her she will put down the toy and smile at the camera.... wat a babe

Yesterday was Mothers' Day.... we went for dinner at Central (again...) cos Bobo want to have Jap food so we thought of bringing her to try the Ramen at Tomton. But to our disappointment, the branch at Central does not sell Ramen so we change to Waruku, another Jap restaurant. Daddy and Mummy had the curry rice and Bobo , the eel. We had a table next to the riverside. So nice since its full window with the night lights. I stood at the window tapping on the glass... hehe.... I don have a chance to try the food as I'm having my usual fish porridge. I started to kick a fuss when Daddy refuse to let me touch his bowl of rice as its hot. Bobo start to gobble down hers so that Dad and Mum could eat in peace. Mummy keep asking Bobo to eat slowly in case she got choke and she can handle my mischief. But Bobo still eat in super speed, din have a chance to enjoy the view.... noty noty me...
Aint Mummys GREAT!

It was the first time that I step my little foot into Clarke Quay. It was a beautiful place, the lightings of the building are so nice... why didnt daddy, mummy brought me there earlier????
We actually went to a Japanese restaurant call 'TOMTON' at Liang Court to have Ramen before heading to Clarke Quay and Central. The ramen they serve is yummy...... although mine is green tea flavor... hehehe... cos Mummy soak the ramen and black pig slice into her green tea before feeding me. Think she has chilli flakes in her bowl of noodles, so to prevent me from choking, she washed it in the green tea. The pork slice is so soft that it actually melts in your mouth. Daddy has wanted to try their ramen for the longest time cos it was reported in the newspapers that it serves the BEST ramen in town. And he finally got his wish yesterday..hehe
After dinner we went for a walk by the riverside and check out the new shopping centre 'Central'. Oh... we found out there's also a Tomton outlet there.
We also sat along the riverside and see the river boat pass by but its getting late and Im starting to get grumpy.... so we headed home... bedtime....
